Current Prototype Tutorial

The tutorial is a built-in, step-by-step guide that auto-starts the first time you open the app and can be turned on/off anytime with H. It teaches the core actions through sound: Tab moves to the next step, Enter opens command mode, T is push-to-talk to the AI, and the arrow keys handle walking and turning. As you practice, you hear immediate, context-aware feedback—distinct cues for spawn/landing, a short earcon when command mode opens, and clear wall signals for bumps or sliding along boundaries. The tutorial also includes recovery and orientation tools (a “where am I?” shortcut, restart to return to your starting point) and can be restarted later if you want more guidance. Designed with co-creators, it serves as scaffolding for independence: reducing cognitive load, replacing “silence” with a safe ambient floor, and making exploration by ear predictable and repeatable without relying on vision.
